The Canecutter Way is a picturesque drive that takes you through the rich green hills and dales of the Cassowary Coast Hinterland, past fields of sugar cane, pawpaw (papaya) plantations and banana farms, cattle properties and Teak plantations and on to the coast.

With views to Mt. Bartle Frere (Queensland’s highest mountain) and the foothills of the Misty Mountains on one side, and the Basilisk Ranges on the other, there are stunning outlooks in all directions.

The rich history of the Canecutter Way is the inspiration for the works of many authors.
